The Audi A3 is a car that made a name for itself when it came out onto the market in 1996. The car is designed to look and feel sporty while still meeting the standards of a compact car. When the production of the original A3 ceased in Brazil, the prices of the first generation family car rose drastically. The former price of $30,000 rose to a staggering $50,000. So much for the idea of compact cars being cheap!
The second generation of Audi A3, similarly dubbed Typ 8P, was released in 2003 and is still currently being manufactured. The sporty family car comes complete with sunroofs and sleek aerodynamics. The S line model of the Typ 8P model even comes with a roof spoiler. The gearshift knob is also made out of leather to match the sports appeal. Standard features like beverage holders and electronic cruise control make the A3 a great car to own. Perks such as outdoor temperature gauges, rear window wiper, and break pad wear indicators can be very handy when going on a long road trip.
