Audi has built its reputation as a car maker on two things. The first is above-average performance. Its cars are engineered to give a smooth, stable ride to both driver and passengers, even under less-than-ideal road conditions. The second is the luxurious interior. For anyone looking for an Audi lease, the current A series will not disappoint.
The 2007 Audi A4 is a four-door sedan. For couples with children, the A4 might make a good family car. It will comfortably seat up to four adults. However, it has less storage space than the A6, making it less than ideal for families who haul sports equipment, teenagers headed for the mall, etc. The A4 is best suited to single people and businesspeople whose lifestyles keep them on the road.
Some of its features make long drives more entertaining: a Symphony stereo system with a 6-CD disc changer comes standard. (Purchase an A4, and one can upgrade to a Bose stereo system with Sirius satellite radio and Bluetooth compatibility.) Audi Navigation Plus (a DVD-based navigation system), four-wheel drive, and adaptable headlights that turn to follow the twists in the road are some of its practical features.
The A4 starts at $28,240. A 36-month Audi lease with $500 reserve and 10,000 miles per year is figured on the car retaining 54% of its value, and comes to $545 a month. Opting for extra miles decreases the resale value. A lease with 15,000 miles per year is figured to retain 51% of its value. That extra 3% translates to an extra $30 a month, or $575 for a 36-month Audi lease. Because of this, it's very important to go into the lease knowing how many miles will be used. The closer a car owner get to thier actual mileage, the more money they will save.
The A6 is a four-door sedan with a wider frame than the A4, allowing for more passenger and cargo space. The A6 has many of the same features as the A4, and also incorporates the MMI, or Multimedia Interface, which includes Audi Navigation Plus, Bluetooth compatibility, and even a place to dock an iPod. The A6 starts at $41,950, so expect to pay more per month to lease one than if leasing an A4: with an Audi lease rate of $869 with 10,000 miles per year, or an Audi lease rate $909 with 15,000 miles. However, if the budget is not a problem, the 2007 Audi A6 makes an ideal family vehicle.
Those looking to upgrade to a luxury business class can consider the Audi A8. The A8 is Audi's luxury sedan. The starting price is $68,900. Check with local Audi dealers for Audi lease availability and price information.
Audi's maintenance program on its lease vehicles is worth looking into. Of course, the warranty covers the vehicle for the entire 36-month Audi lease period. But an Audi will have to be serviced every 10,000 miles, and every maintenance visit after the first one is an out-of-pocket expense for the lease holder. The maintenance program allows car owners to pre-pay for those service visits. The cost is between $350 and $360. For less than the cost of one month's Audi lease payment, oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, etc. are covered. A car owner could have no vehicle expenses to worry about, other than tax, tags, gas and insurance, with the maintenance program.
